A few years ago I started watching The Dog Whisperer on T.V. and decided I wanted to be a dog trainer. Even before a formal education I called myself a dog trainer and started sticking my neck out there. At first, I felt like a phony, but I kept on trusting. Even after a formal education I still felt very nervous and worried that my clients were satisfied with my coaching. Now, those fears have subsided and when I am with clients it seems the clouds are parting and the big beautiful sun is shining on my face. I made it to the promised land and you can too. The point is, fake it until you make it. If you believe in something long enough it will come true.
People, as well as dogs, need to be reminded by everyday actions that tomorrow will be fine. We have a inner desire to feel secure in who we are and the people we are with. Stop speaking and thinking worrysome thoughts and look forward to a world filled with endless possibilty. Close your eyes before a training session and picture how you would like it to go. Tell those around you with body language and pure energy that you are great and they are too. Live fearless my friends, and have fun training!
